Did you know that there are three beaches in the world where sea turtles go to rest every night? I was lucky enough to spend an evening on one of those beaches, and my biggest feelings were jealousy and protective instinct towards these turtles. Their lives consist of swimming around in warm tropical oceans, eating fish, and sleeping on a beach. The reef they live in provides them shelter from predators and they have their own team of turtle guardians to keep people from getting in their way. They live perfect lives, and I want it to stay that way. Our progress threatens their lifestyles and their live through pollution and habitat loss. It doesn’t need to be like that. I think the people making decisions that harm these creatures need to come see the peace that they represent before its too late.
